The garden goddess series was an evolution in Julia's work. The series was inspired by dreams expressing a connection to nature and the mystical. Julia had been painting sacred feminine forms, and series of realistic frogs on large canvases, when the figurative dreams began. "I recognized the dreams of the vibrant, benevolent beings were a visionary gift I had to paint." These vivid, sensual oils express Julia’s image of the sacred, in the dancing goddess form, and combine the amazing colors and patterns found in nature.
