Commission a portrait of any beloved pet, such as birds, cats, dogs, fish, frogs, hamsters, horses, llamas, lizards, snakes, etc. I also welcome just about any subject matter for commission: favorite flower, rare plant collection or any wildlife subject (from ant to zebra).
I will collaborate with you to help create a composition with colors that reflect your personal interest. You are investing in an original oil painting created just for you. All materials are of premium quality. The sides of the canvas are painted for a professional finish.
$100. deposit gets us started with a consultation, photos of subject and 3 thumbnail sketches with composition and color ideas. Another 50% deposit is required upon composition approval. Final payment is due on delivery of work.

*Base price is for commission of a portrait with an abstract
background, fee will be added for multiple subject matter or
complicated composition. The Commissioned Work started
with my dog Skyla. One day I was photographing artwork and
much too busy to play with Skyla and her blue bone. She laid
her paw on her treasured blue toy and looked up at me with
great sorrow at my neglect. In that moment I photographed
her. I loved painting her. Skyla is a Boxer, Sharpei Mix,
rescued from the pound in 2001. After that experience, I
have enjoyed painting Commissioned Work for my clients.
All I need is a couple of good photos (which I am happy to
take) of any pet, such as birds, cats, dogs, fish, frogs,
hamsters, horses, llamas, lizards, snakes, etc.
